Design Sprint & Product Design
The DDI Delivery Drivers App (also known as the Spark Mobile App) project aimed to revolutionize how independent delivery drivers connect with businesses. Our core challenge, codenamed "Mr Peanut 1.0," was to build a robust system with seamless integration for automated daily accounting, secure driver enrollment via OTP, and a user-friendly interface for DDI's operations team. This initiative was crucial for modernizing DDI's outdated infrastructure and transforming its market perception from a service provider to a leading technology company.

Sketching & Ideation

Our wireframing process began with collaborative ideation sessions, utilizing hand sketches to rapidly explore initial concepts and key screen layouts for the Driver Dashboard, Earnings/Tax sections, Profile/Document management, and various onboarding flows. These low-fidelity explorations were crucial for quickly theorizing features, mapping broad user flows, and outlining the application's core structure before moving into higher fidelity stages.

Building upon these initial concepts, we transitioned to more structured digital whiteboard (Miro) sticky boarding sessions. These detailed wireframes allowed us to refine information hierarchy, define specific functionalities, and map comprehensive user pathways to ensure a logical and intuitive user experience for the DDI Delivery Drivers App

Visual Design

The visual design phase was dedicated to transforming the DDI Delivery Drivers App's interface from its previous "clunky" state into a modern, professional, and trustworthy digital experience. The design aimed to elevate DDI's brand perception, reinforcing its new identity as a technology company. By focusing on clear visual hierarchy, consistent UI elements, and an appealing aesthetic, the visual design enhanced usability and engagement for all users, aligning with the strategic goal of improving the app's overall look and feel to "make us look legit".
